My research interest focuses on alpha1 antitrypsin in the lung with a specific emphasis on its role in airway disease. The research encompasses both clinical and basic science parts. The clinical part examines outcomes such as quality of life in patients with alpha1 antitrypsin deficiency. The basic science part examines the role of locally produced alpha1 antitrypsin by bronchial epithelial cells
