Susan Moore, CBHT
Research Support Coordinator

Susan is a Program Assistant and an onsite evaluator for a SAMHSA funded HIV and substance abuse prevention project in Key West; FL. She has been with TPEG since March 2000. Susan provides support to researchers regarding prevention and treatment evaluations, provides assistance with prevention planning, program implementation, program fidelity, instrument development, and assistance with development and testing of online tools and reports. She assists data analysts with yearly reports and projects as needed and is responsible for the maintenance of prevention or treatment research tools including treatment psychosocial instruments and evaluation for state or federal funded projects.

Claudia Gordon
Research Support Coordinator

Claudia Gordon has been with the TPEG group since 2002. She is the Program Assistant to the Principal Investigator and Research Staff of the Treatment Prevention Evaluation Group (TPEG) in the planning and coordination of the Evaluation Project for the Department of Children and Families Prevention Project, Strategic Prevention Framework - State Incentive Grant (SPF-SIG) Evaluation Project and State Epidemiology Workgroup (SEW). Claudia serves as a liaison between faculty and research staff of the TPEG, the departmental administration, and the DCF Prevention Partnership Evaluation Team providers from the multiple sites in the State of Florida as it relates to the project. Claudia independently coordinated each of the Florida's State Epidemiology Work-group Meetings. She also creates questionnaires using a TeleForm System for project Switchboard of Miami and any other agency if needed in English, Creole, and Spanish forms (Creole & Spanish translation provided by specialist within UM).  She collects, scans, verifies, reviews, and manages the data using SPSS.

Korrine Bentley, MA
Senior Research Associate, Field Evaluator Coordinator

Korrine has been with the TPEG group since 2002.  Korrine is responsible for creating manuals, reviewing monthly reporting forms, and other program elements in universal use within TPEG. Korrine is currently working on a HIV/AIDS & Substance Abuse prevention program originally funded through CSAP, but currently funded by Miami’s Children’s Trust. She is also working on the evaluation of a methamphetamine treatment program that is funded through CSAT. In addition, she works with several abstinence-based programs. She has worked on both sides of prevention programming. For several years Korrine worked with at risk youth and their families providing group counseling services to improve family dynamics and reduce overall risk of delinquency and substance use.

Hayley Tammara, MPH
Senior Research Associate I

Hayley has been at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine since 1999.  She began working at the university as an interviewer of the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health’s Assessment Center and in 2000 began her work as an evaluator on the TPEG staff.  Her interests include adolescent substance use prevention; underage alcohol and substance abuse research.  Hayley is the field evaluator operating with the Department of Children of Families in Monroe, Miami-Dade, and Broward Counties.  In addition, Hayley is the main editor of the TPEG/Prevention Partnership Evaluation Projects semi-annual newsletter.

Crystal Jenkins, MA
Research Associate

Crystal has been with TPEG since 2002.  She has provided field evaluation, data analysis, research, and project management services to the team. Her contributions to the team effort includes work as the field evaluator of a Florida Department of Children and Family Services/Georgia Department of Community Affairs substance abuse treatment project targeting women and their families; field evaluator and project management of three separate federally-funded Florida HIV/AIDS/HEP treatment and prevention projects targeting African Americans, women, homeless, and at-risk populations. Prior to joining TPEG, Crystal served in the U.S. Army and worked as a Social Worker in programs offering adult case management and youth services.

Danyelle Dutton, BS
Research Associate II

Since joining TPEG in 2005, Danyelle has become closely involved with several projects.  She currently is the primary field evaluator for Department of Children and Families-funded substance abuse prevention providers in Florida circuits 5, 10, and 19.  She assists these agencies with school and community program implementation and data interpretation.  Additionally, Danyelle provides technical assistance to community coalitions to several North Florida counties funded by Florida’s Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPF-SIG).  Danyelle also performs administrative duties coordinating with the principal investigator as needed.

Colbert Pierre, MD, MPH
Research Associate II, Validation Program Coordinator

Dr. Colbert Pierre joined the Department of Epidemiology in the Fall of 2007 as a Research Associate. Dr. Pierre is currently the Validation Program Coordinator for DCF-funded substance abuse prevention projects in Florida. He provides these agencies with program-related technical assistance. He has had previous experience with public health program management in Haiti and research project coordination in the US. Dr. Pierre’s research interests include Health disparities, Healthcare delivery in resource-poor settings, CBO capacity building and Health programs evaluation.

Kimberly Carney, BA
Research Associate I

Kimberly Carney joined the TPEG team in the Spring of 2009. Graduated from the University of Florida, Kimberly specialized in Health Education and Behavior with a minor in Business Administration. She is the primary field evaluator for circuits 6, 12, 13, & 20 under the Department of Children and Families Substance Abuse Prevention Program. Prior to joining the TPEG team, Kimberly spent time as an intern at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the Division of Adolescent School Health researching a variety of health-related topics, developing and evaluating wellness programs, and maintaining databases of information related to tobacco use.

Abraham Vil, BA
Research Associate I

Abraham Vil is the field evaluator for Department of Children and Families-funded substance abuse prevention providers in Florida circuits 9, 15, 18, 20. Abraham has had previous experience with substance abuse program management. His current areas of interest include Mental health counseling for at risk youths, Substance abuse prevention among minorities, and Prevention intervention in public school settings.
